My lovely movie 4

Questo film l’ho visto molto tempo fa, ma mi sembrava indicato proporlo ora dato che questo è un anno bisestile ed il film parla proprio di questo, oltre che di una storia d’amore.

Trama: Anna vive a Boston, ma è di origini irlandesi. Siccome è fidanzata da 4 anni con Jeremy, ma lui non si decide a farle la proposta, prende spunto da un’antica tradizione irlandese che permette di farla anche alle donne, ma solamente il 29 febbraio, per cui una volta ogni 4 anni. Così decide di raggiungere il fidanzato a Dublino, dove si trova per lavoro, ma le cose si complicano perchè una tempesta fa atterrare il suo aereo nel Galles, ed anche se decide di proseguire in barca, viene dirottata a Dingle, un paesino nell’estremo ovest dell’isola. Qui incontra Declan, il proprietario di una locanda in rovina, che decide di aiutarla ad arrivare a Dublino a patto di un lauto compenso. Nemmeno a dirlo durante il viaggio incappano in una miriade di guai e bisticciano tutto il tempo avendo due caratteri incompatibili. Finalmente giungono a destinazione ed Anna riesce a fare la proposta a Jeremy in tempo. Tornano a Boston, ma durante la festa di fidanzamento Anna si accorge che c’è qualcosa che non va nel loro rapporto.

Amy Adams è deliziosa, anche quando fa la snob antipatica. La storia magari sarà un po’ scontata e surreale, gliene capitano davvero di ogni, ma è bellissimo viaggiare con loro attraverso il verde irlandese. Anche il finale è scontato, ma è romanticissimo!!!

Io l’ho adorato, ma non faccio testo che adoro qualsiasi cosa riguardi l’Irlanda, per cui…

Quest’anno non ho trovato molte canzoni romantiche, anzi, praticamente nessuna a parte un paio dell’ultimo album di Ed Sheeran. Una di queste è Nancy Mulligan che parla della storia d’amore dei suoi nonni paterni.
