Trama: Jack è un cantatutore squattrinato della provincia inglese che un giorno si ritrova ad essere l’unico a ricordare le canzoni dei Beatles. Per tutto il resto del mondo essi non sono mai esistiti. Una volta capito ciò fa finta di aver scritto lui i loro brani e diventa famosissimo.

Sinceramente mi aspettavo di meglio. Il trailer era intrigante e divertente, mentre il film è stata una delusione totale. La trama era fiacca e ci si è persi in miriadi di situazioni stupide invece che magari approfondire la parte riguardante la scrittura dei brani. Tipo il fatto che siano scomparse anche altre cose: la Coca Cola, gli Oasis, Harry Potter. Menzionate, ma comunque non approfondite.

Hanno messo in mezzo troppe canzoni dei Beatles quando ne bastavano la metà. Che poi alcuni arrangiamenti non mi sono nemmeno piaciuti, tipo Help, ed altri non si capiva nemmeno che canzone fosse. Perché non tutti sono fan sfegatati dei Beatles tanto da conoscerne qualsiasi brano a mena dito, tra l’altro in una scena Jack afferma di non ricordare benissimo ogni minima parola di ogni minima canzone tanto da inventarne qualcuna per cui si fa doppiamente fatica a riconoscere i brani.

La storia d’amore non era male, ma è stata sviluppata malissimo. Non ho capito perché hanno fatto andare lei a Liverpool, salvo poi farla andare via praticamente con un nulla di fatto, se non proprio due di picche, e subito dopo farla mettere con un altro tizio. Tuttavia Lily James castana secondo me sta meglio che bionda.

Ed Sheeran è stato un po’  moscio. Più che altro le sue scene sono state un po’ mosce. Ma la sua canzone mi è piaciuta.

L’agente era davvero pessima. A livelli grotteschi.

La scena con John Lennon vivo e vegeto non aveva nessuna verve nè guizzo. Piattume totale. Che poi gli hanno fatto dire che lui ha comunque avuto dei problemi a far accettare la sua amata da non si sa bene chi ed alla fine è rimasto solo con un cane in una casa in mezzo al nulla. Sarà pure stato felice nella sua vita, ma quell’immagine era di una tristezza infinita.

Il finale non è stato male, ma pure qui totale assenza di qualsiasi cosa. Il rivale che gli lascia la ragazza senza nemmeno recriminargli qualcosa. Nessuno che gli chieda qualcosa in merito alle dichiarazioni fatte. Tutto completamente slegato dalla verosomiglianza.

Quest’anno non ho trovato molte canzoni romantiche, anzi, praticamente nessuna a parte un paio dell’ultimo album di Ed Sheeran. Una di queste è Nancy Mulligan che parla della storia d’amore dei suoi nonni paterni.

Bentornato!!!

Oggi esce l’ultimo album di Ed Sheeran.

Per rimanere in tema con i due precedenti si intitola :  (il simbolo esatto sulla tastiera del mio pc non c’è) ossia Divide (diviso).

L’album è stato preceduto nei primi di gennaio da due singoli.

Il mio preferito è questo:

Me ne sono innamorata a primo ascolto. Anche se è malinconica, devo ammetterlo.

Questa canzone è mooooolto vecchia (1997) ed ha avuto molte cover, tra cui quella del mio adorato Ronan Keating nel 2009, ma io l’ho sentita questo ottobre come sottofondo ad un matrimonio di un telefilm e mi ha colpito molto, forse perché era una versione Gospel, mah… E’ un po’ malinconica, ma mi piace molto.

My lovely real movie

Quest’anno non ho visto dei film d’amore così memorabili da entrare a far parte di questa serie di post.

Però c’è stato un matrimonio. Il mio idolo di adolescente si è sposato per la seconda volta e penso sia stata una cerimonia da favola.

Ronan Keating, il leader dei Boyzone, ha sposato Storm Uechtritz in un castello scozzese. Lei è molto bella (a parte il nome, la magrezza eccessiva ed il naso un pochino troppo lungo, però nel complesso è proprio bella, giuro che non sono ironica) ed insieme formano una coppia splendida.

Una delle cose bella della cerimonia, che si è svolta all’aperto essendo in piena estate (17 agosto), è stato l’abito di lei, a cui sta bene praticamente tutto, ma il vestito era davvero molto bello ed elegante. E fortunatamente non ha optato per l’ormai consueto color bianco latte che io trovo di dubbio gusto sia per le seconde nozze, che per le nozze con figli o pancioni. Esiste il bianco perla od il bianco vaniglia, molto più di classe in questi casi. Tornando agli abiti mi è piaciuto tantissimo anche che i vestiti delle damigelle e del testimone (tutti e tre figli del primo matrimonio di lui) fossero intonati con quelli degli sposi.

La cosa che più mi ha fatto commuovere è stato vedere questa foto:

Praticamente penso sia il momento delle promesse ed il figlio di lui si sta asciugando gli occhi commosso, mentre lei tiene la mano della figlia maggiore di lui con molta complicità. Più tardi, alla rivista a cui hanno affidato l’esclusiva, lei dirà che è stato proprio in quel momento, dopo aver visto i figli di lui sorridere tra le lacrime, che si è commossa ed ha iniziato a piangere a sua volta. Tenera!

La cosa che più mi ha fatto invidia è stata la sorpresa che lui le ha fatto al ricevimento. Le avrà cantato “When you say nothing at all”, la sua canzone più famosa e più gettonata nei matrimoni anglosassoni? Oppure un’altra delle sue hit? No, ha invitato niente popodimeno che Ed Sheeran che ha cantato per loro.

Ok, io a questa notizia sono letteralmente morta d’invidia.

Non che prima non fossi poi così poco invidiosa, eh… 😉

Storm, sei una ragazza davvero molto fortunata, sii felice e goditi quel fantastico marito che hai! 😛

Ps: i figli di lui sono adorabili, non solo perché sono iralndesi e quindi con i capelli color carota (almeno due su tre) e le lentiggini, cose che adoro, però sarebbe anche molto carino se ne facessero uno insieme. E magari lei metterebbe su qualche etto che non le guasterebbe 😛
